The backers of Prop 8 are going to push this all the way to the SOCTUS.
Now, the court could simply rule that the proposition was unconstitutional, and that on a state basis, you can't discriminate. However, they'll probably just rule the whole thing null and void nationwide.
Which would mean, homosexuals in Texas can get married, and the state would have to grant the same rights to gay married couples, as they do to any other.
Good news for those who of the same sex who wish to marry. Bad news for those who want to discrimiate against those they don't like.
