I don't know about 100,000 contractors. You got a link or is that just speculation? Even so, if the Iraqi government wants to hire 100,000 american contractors that's fine with me. If you are claiming that the US Gov. is going to replace our soldiers with us funded contractors I call BS.

We were kicking ass and taking names, until we had to stop at the demilitarized zone, and were not suppose to go into Cambodia or Laos to hit the supply lines(but we secretly did) then sit and wait for a punch back in the nose.

Just like Iraq, we were not there to dominate and conquer.
Same for Afghanistan.

We were there to dominate and annihilate the Germans and the Japanese.
Why did we go to war in Europe, when Japan attacked us. Why didn't we go after the Japs, that we were cutting petroleum supplies off and PO'ing them.

It is sad to watch the tangled pile of debris that was our economy, burning quietly down to nothing, while our government walks around throwing worthless fiat currency on the ground and wondering why the rubble pile hasn't transformed itself into a shining, well-built, fully functional airplane yet.
Ron Paul has run for President TWICE once in 1988 and once in 2008.He has run for the a Texas U.S. Senate seat in 1984 and lost. Ron Paul isn't even all that popular in Texas.

The basic problem is his rhetoric just doesn't travel well outside of extremely conservative circles. He's got another shot in 2012. It well be interesting to see how it turns out. One thing that is interesting is that Ron Paul has spoken out in the past about farm subsidies. I can only wonder how that will play out in rural areas.

I'd like to know more about these 100,000 paid contractors. Does anybody have a link besides Ron Pauls statement?

You made the claim. It would be nice if you could back it up. I think that projecting the fact that all combat troops are out of Iraq is some sort of charade on Obama's part is pretty shallow. Especially when all troops will be out by next year. The contractor thing is a wild card. Are these mercenaries, oil workers, pakistani construction workers or US Soldiers walking around in Tommy Hilfiger tee shirts carrying M4s? The whole concept is very vague and a hard sell to pin the act of deception on the US Government over Iraqi occupation.

The point is that it was an idiotic sign that only idiots would put up at that particular point in time...because they're idiots.
