Really?

Where did you obtain this little tidbit of misinformation? Multi-lingual ballots have been allowed since the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

U.S. House panel votes to retain bilingual ballots

That's all fine and good except that the government ever so often finds itself in the ridiculous position of having the inform the public of some issue of public importance. By not publishing it in the form that the intended audience can't understand sort of hinders getting that information out to those who need it.

Now I know, if they can't read it, that's their problem... except they aren't the ones trying to get the information out.

I don't see Harry Reid using his position as Senate Majority Leader to convert everyone into Mormons. Why do people assume she will do the same?

Yes, I do know the definition of "ignorant." Without a qualifier, it means lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned. If you meant ignorant of English, you should have stated as much. Seems you are ignorant of the proper usage of the word 'ignorant'.

2. lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact: ignorant of quantum physics.

And since when is what an adult does in the privacy of his own home an "issue" that needs to be debated?

Go away!......... Bible beaters!
Since what goes on in a bedroom is being brought into Civil Liberties and equal rights for a minority group that absolutely nothing to do with culture or country migration, but sex.

That's what religious/bigoted scolds do...they go after powerless groups.

That's why gays shouldn't marry but they are A-OK with adulterers doing it.
News flash, Muslims are allowed to pray in school. They even have special accommodations set up. However, let a Christian pray in school and then there will be a problem.

The forced prayer, depends on a person's perspective.

Everyone is allowed to pray in school. No one is allowed to compel others to pray. And no children are allowed to disrupt the classroom.

In South Africa, for example, there are huge populations that don't speak English. Therefore, just like in the US, it makes sense to publish items in various languages.
Sigh...immigration is per 100,000....

As to South Africa, ummm HELLO,those other languages were ALREADY spoken there by sizeable portions of the population.

It was a very simple question you have found incapable of answering,it would seem because it would put your position in regards to assimilating to the USA in a poor light.

But so be it.
