But you are born with all the tools you need. A brain, two legs, two arms, two knees, two elbows, two feet, and two hands.
Using their brain would lead many people to believe that owning a tool to enable them to better protect themselves and their families is a good idea.

How is this any guarantee that the next person won't have a gun? What will you do if more than one person breaks in next time?
Self confidence is a good thing. Deluding yourself into believing you can handle anyone that comes through your door with the intent to do you harm using nothing other than the tools you were born with is foolhardy.

Refusing to serve cops because they carry guns, working "overnight" so you can avoid walking by people and getting into fights, having the ability to beat anyone in a fight even if they're armed, all while working at subway...sorry, I'm not buying it...
What does not serving cops have to do with being a "ninja", as you like to term it? I don't have to serve them, and they can't force me to do so.
I have gotten into a number of fights. I've won those fights. What's your issue with that?
I worked at Subway from 1999-2001. I've also worked a number of other places. It was rare for me to keep a job for more than a year...partly because I've gotten into it with management. So have fun with that.
