What I support is a move to a taxpayer funded universal health care system. Obama's reforms stop a number of gross abuses by the health insurance corporations, but they do not address the structural issues in the system. As such, costs will continue to rise.

The democrats in Washington see him as poison, why do the loons in CD think he has any redeeming value...?
Anyone with any sense would not continue to defend him.
Folks with perfectly good eyes are found to be 'blind' all the time.
What is needed now is a miracle.

LOL...Yeah Ok if you want to believe that!

I've been paying my own health care for 24 years now, self employed and until we were FORCED here in Mass. to have health care never did my rates go up that much,1-3% at best. Last year mine went up 40% so those who THINK they know what their talking about actually have no idea since you only listen to the BS they're feeding you and haven't actually been living it like we have here for the last 4 years.

Obama care was modeled after Massachusetts health care so you're all in for a rude awakening in the next few years!!

5 painful health-care lessons from Massachusetts - Jun. 15, 2010

Quote:
When Massachusetts launched its reform program in 2006, it already had the highest medical costs in the nation. Today, the burden is still rising far faster than wages or inflation, from those already lofty levels. A report from that state attorney general in March -- remember, this is a Democratic administration -- asked rhetorically "Can we expect the existing health-care market in Massachusetts to successfully contain health-care costs?" The report concluded, "To date, the answer is an unequivocal 'no.'

The reform has been more expensive than expected, costing $1.1 billion in fiscal 2008 and $1.3 billion in fiscal 2009. In the face of a state budget crisis in fall 2008, Gov. Deval Patrick announced that he will keep the reform afloat by draining money from safety-net providers such as public hospitals and community clinics.

Health Care Reform Helps Small Businesses Offer Coverage: Report - US News and World Report

As the provisions of the Affordable Care Act begin to be implemented, many small businesses in the United States will be able to take advantage of new tax credits, a new report shows.

During the first phase of the act, some businesses employing some 16.6 million workers will be eligible for these tax credits, according to the report released Thursday from the Commonwealth Fund.
Yeah, turns out if you have a crappy, failing business you can get tax credits. Good successful businesses are not eligible--they will get hammered until they are crappy, failing businesses too. The tax credits for health care are a vivid example of rewarding failure and punishing success. And if you do run a suceessful business, don't even think about using one of the few proven cost-reducers--Health Savings Account Plans--because Obamacare mandates "cadillac" coverage.

Amazing how blind dems are.

Just maybe many dems are receiving or BELIEVING they will get another freebie out of the rest of us, that is why they are for this scam bill.

Some people needs to work and earn their own HC instead of stealing it from others.

No wonder 67% of Americans do not like this bill and yet the 20% who consider themselves liberal try to argue how great it is when we have proven over and over it is a scam that cost us all billions for nothing. Well, at least those of us who work and pay taxes and vote against the dems anyway.

Maybe the dems should just change the party name to DEMFARE instead of the party of welfare.

NAME ONE DEM CANDIDATE WHO IS RUNNING ON THIS HEALTHCARE BILL PASSING?

Name one who is going home and talking about HC in town halls?

But the dems want shut down congress 3 weeks early so they can go home and do nothing because they have no issues or subject to run on.

Thanks to the dems we are free falling into another recession.

I don't know why though..just add onto medicare and medicaid and start charging people.

Cause that was the goal in the first place but they stopped at "only the outraegeous" level of action.
Knew the rest would happen on it's own after that.
It's self propelled you know.

Guess who has to foot the extra costs because the Government is stealing from Medicare and Medicaid programs. YOU THE INDIVIDUALLY INSURED. There are idiots that actually think Obama care is not costing the individual or insurance companies. WRONG if you are not on a Government Welfare Insurance program like medicare or medicaid you and your private insurer are paying the extra cost. THANK YOU POS DEMOCRATS for raising my rates and payouts.

Everyone has been given an "opportunity" to pay for others.

Just the first 3 - keeping your plan - NO, lowering premiums - NO, helping small business - NO. The bill he signed accomplishes NONE of the goals he laid out initially.

Can you refute just those 3?

Btw, did you bother to read those two pieces?
Care to tackle one or two with me Sanrene?

A small business would be better off NOT offering any insurance and let the employees go into the pool.
LOL! Point out that there are tax credits for small business and the response is, "Yes, but".

Well obviously if you are a business you have to look at the entire picture..not just bits and pieces. Do you think they plan to hire temps and cover them ONLY while they get the credit ? It's not a permanent credit and they may not even get the credit as it's not just across the board.

Your post did not paint the entire picture..just "small business gets a credit".
