Did they ban reading because I didn't see where they banned the use of the word.
And just because they changed the wording in laws doesn't really have any effect on you does it...since you're not writing any laws yourself? It's not like they're preventing you from saying it.

They spent taxdollars that I PAY to ban a word from use in federal laws...
What about all the regulations as well? They no doubt banned that too. Do you have ANY idea how many regulations get written?
Thanks for informing me that Palin is a member of congress who voted to pass this act....
My post indicated PC Liberal. Was it or was it not Palin that made a Federal issue by the use of the word RETARD. So thank Palin. oh my bad, that little fact doesn't fit into your rant. Carry on.

This is INSANE.
They banned the word retarded from federal laws...
They banned a WORD!
Don't these morons have more important things to deal with, you know, like the economy?
Likewise, don't you have more important things to deal with than this non-issue? Guess not.
FWIW, there was a time when the word 'retarded' was actually the more polite word. The terms of the time were 'idiot', 'imbecile', and 'moron', depending on the IQ of the person being discussed. If the word 'moron' offends someone I'm only too happy to use whatever term they prefer, but I think we're in danger of losing the truth of things in eufemisms. That is a major danger of PC speech codes (that, and the obvious loss of liberty.)

They spent my tax dollars on this.
