Then you betray your absolute ignorance on this. The Tea Party Express is a political organization centrally organized (and dominated by the GOP yes), the "Tea Party" nationwide is made up of local unorganized groups, no central authority, and quite diverse.

Actually the Tea Party is more radical and more Conservative version of the Republican Party. Based on his actions of raising taxes, bailing out social security and running up huge budget deficits Ronald Reagan would be thrown out of the present day Tea Party, yet he is consdered by many to be the key figures in modern conservatism.
