Morals and ethics do not exist for those that have no good book to cling on, to look for a guide to the right way, to be socially acceptable in life.
Religion is what civilized and socialized mankind, from a barbaric society.
That's right because they set their own morals according to how it suits them and do not consider a higher power. They are their own Alpha and Omega. They make their rules and because they don't believe they have anything to answer for that's how they live their lives.
Ah yes, the good ole 'No true Scotsman' fallacy. You don't get to pick and choose who is a 'true' believer and who isn't.
Why not?
Why do you get to determine the standard?

As for evidence of the flood... it's been rehashed time and time again in the Religion and Philosophy forum so I won't go into that here.
Blind watchmaker, eh? Sorry, I don't buy that. It makes far more sense that it was a random occurrence than by some magical being snapping his fingers and creating it.
Does it? What existed prior to the "random occurrence"? I'm sorry, but I'm not that naive to believe in that sort of hocus pocus.
As I said, a fool says there is no God. Not to confuse "fool" with idiot. A fool is more of a statement about a person's willing ignorance.
Egyptians are now majority MUSLIM they stopped worshiping Ra and Sekhmet quite a while ago.
I'm not talking about the stone ages, I'm talking about 2010.
Can't keep it current can you?
I prefer not to 'keep it current' because as they say, those who don't learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them.
As for there being polytheistic cultures currently, yes there are. Shinto, Hinduism (although, there are polytheistic and monotheistic variations), Paganism, Wicca etc etc. There are still people who practice ancient Greek Paganism, Celtic Paganism and so on. There are also groups of Native Americans who also celebrate polytheism.

I'm not determining the standard at all. If you call yourself a Christian, you're a Christian. Nobody gets to say 'no, you aren't'.
You really want me to get into the physics involved with what existed prior? There are people who have spent their entire lives devoted to it...go grab a book and start studying.
I don't care if you believe in a god or not, I really don't. Just don't force me to believe the same as you. I see zero evidence of a god, or any god... call me a 'fool' or 'ignorant' if you please, I am very comfortable in my beliefs.

So your standard is that there is no standard? That sounds like a standard.

Use some logic. That's all I'm asking.

I couldn't make you believe if I wanted to. But as for calling you a fool? I don't mean it as an insult--I've been called much worse by atheists on this board. But anyone that intentionally ignores evidence to cling to a fairy tale (as atheists do) are not fit to be president, in my opinion.
