Does a name by any other smell as sweet when "Whitey" is put on the ballot in predominately African-American/Black precincts instead of the candidates actual name Whitney?

Whitney is 'Whitey' on some ballots :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Election 2010 (http://www.suntimes.com/news/elections/2801976,CST-NWS-whitney14.article - broken link)

Not just "whitey" but "Rich Whitey". I'm sure it was just a blooper, riiiiiiiight. If I heard right, it is too late to change it too, but on the bright side, they'll end up giving this Green Party candidate way more media coverage than he ever would have gotten.

They are trying everything they can to get Quinn elected. I predict he will lose. (And I sure hope he does. I stated last year if he gets elected I will move out of Illinois!)

People are too pissed downstate,in the burbs and enough people in the city to shoot him down.

Stop the madness of spending already.

Where are the fricken jobs?

If it were just about any other town or city, I might think, well typo, it happens. Since it was Chicago, probability just threw coincidence out the window.

There are a few in Mexico, a couple more in India, and China, and I do believe that they are hiring in Afghanistan. Other than that, I think our Huddle House has a night waitress position open.

These are the things dems do on purpose to reinforce the "republican = racist" garbage to "so-called blacks" and other "non-white" people.

They're not clever, it's OBVIOUS and in your face!

I'm sick of reading about this kind of trash because it's really time for this crap to stop.

Wrong on both counts. It was listed as R. Whitey not Rich Whitey. And the Chicago board of Elections stated they will correct the problem before Election Day.

How do you know? Did you see the screen?

This is what a ballot looks like in Chicago:

If on a paper ballot the full first name is spelled out why would it not on the electronic ballot?
