The John Birch Society supports Republicans; so if you're going to play guilty by association...

Did I say anywhere that I was a Republican?
Do you assume much?
From what I know about the John Birch Society (which is admittedly limited) they stand for limited government. Nothing wrong with that in my books. Too bad GWB wasn't a real conservative, which is why I never supported him.

You totally misunderstood my post.

I highly respect Ron Paul.
I was making a comment that the Tea Party has moved away from Ron Paul's limited government principles and moved towards Palin/DeMint social conservatism. The libertarian wing of the Tea Party is being marginalized.
I was describing what's going on not advocating it.

My mistake. I agree with everything you said right there.

The KKK in some states supports Republicans.

However 99.9% of Republicans have nothing to do with the Klan.

Similarly, 99.9% of Democrats have nothing to do with Marxist groups. The CPUSA has less than a thousand members nationwide and have not had any influence since Earl Browder's day. They're not even the largest Marxist group - the various Trotskyist groups like the Socialist Workers Party, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, Workers' World, and the Socialist Party USA (which despite its name is a Trotskyist group with no connection to the old Socialist Party of Eugene Debs and Norman Thomas, in fact they despise the old Socialist Party) all have more members. Even the National Bolshevik Party and Revolutionary Communist Party (both of which are completely wacko even by far left standards) probably have about the same number of members. On the far left, anarchism is more popular than Marxism-Leninism. There are most likely at least 20 times as many anarchists as there are communists.

So Obama was able to find the .1% and surround himself with them. Scary, but it is Halloween!

So which one are you a member of? Or are you an anarchist?
