The populace has the attention span of a gnat and it's getting dumber by the minute. A lot of people in this country are alive today due to the liberal use of antibiotics, good genes and DUMB luck; otherwise, Mother Nature would have done away with them (and their stupidity) a long time ago.
It's a very real possibility if the republicans and tea party continue to have their way. They have been calling for bills to slash medicare, insurance, cut social security, abolishing child labor laws, eliminate minimum wage, filibustering any bill that tries to regulate off-shoring,..If they have their way the middle class would be abolished and what few jobs are left, would be paying a "generous" wage of likely $3 an hour.

I think that protests in Egypt and other countries in the Middle East demanding more political and economic freedom is a stern warning to the current Obama regime in Washington. If you don't change willingly, the people of the United States (who are heavily armed) will force it.
