Scream from the rooftops: "THIS IS DEMOCRACY IN ACTION!"
When unions lose to a majority - PROTEST - STRIKE - DISRUPT.
Oh, right, that's not democracy.
That's usurpation of power.
My apologies.

What majority? The Repubs did not run on a platform stating they would break the back of the unions, so that is not a mandate. I also wonder if they ran on a platform that includded giving the Rich and Big Buisiness huge tax cuts, espeically during a time that the state needs more money not less? I believe most that voted for the Repubs wanted the spending to be cut using common sense, but common sense seems to have left the building.

This is great. The GOP congress can pass legislation to BAN public service unions because the threaten the ability for govt to deliver critical services to the taxpayers.

Wrong, this is going to backfiire on the Republicans and cost them big time in the very states in the Midwest they need if they had any hopes of getting into the White House.

When Governors feel they can take away the right of people to collective bargain in labor negotiation that is fundamental threat to a fair and equitable society.

The government is not designed to provide services to ANY taxpayers! Even the police do not have to protect individuals from violence!

It is only there to facilitate the transfer of wealth from the producers (workers, farmers, miners) to the owners! Unions slow down this transfer. When will you dolts get out of the way of our merchant princes quest to own all of you?

Some don't, and it's nothing but welfare. You hear about teachers that can't be fired, so they sit and do nothing all day because they're too incompetent to teach.

Maybe if our taxes weren't so high, from having to pay for the overbloated pay, benefits and pensions of the public unions, minimum wage would be a livable wage.

Arsonists don't care what they burn down if the flames are pretty, the sirens are loud, and the flashing lights bathe everything with a lurid glow.
Bid contracts are a JOKE. A company wins the bid, then proceeds to rape the govt with over runs. Maybe the ability to hire a company that has proven to do the job for what they contract for would be more cost effective.
