COALINGA, California -- Parole board members refused to free Robert F. Kennedy's convicted assassin after determining that he hadn't shown enough remorse and didn't understand the severity of a crime that was mourned by a nation four decades ago.
Sirhan, a Palestinian Christian from Jordan who is now 66, spoke at length Wednesday and expressed sorrow, but said he doesn't remember shooting Kennedy or five other victims in the crowded kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, where Kennedy stood moments after claiming victory in the California presidential primary.
"Every day of my life, I have great remorse and deep regret," he told a panel of two parole board commissioners at Pleasant Valley State Prison in Coalinga.
California seems to be a common thread between the two.
I know Manson and his followers were originally sentenced to death, then the death penalty was declared unconstitutional, and their sentences were commuted to life.
As for Sirhan Sirhan, I thought he was convicted on federal charges. I think the same thing may have happened there.
Both need to rot in jail, I personally plan to throw a party the day Manson bites it.
Gees, well i would at least hope they would be Denied Parole, should not even come up for discussion. They could rot in jail for who cares, but gosh why are they both still around.

No! they should have been put to death!! Why are we feeding and housing these two animals??? That's not justice. The families of their victims are paying for their food!!
The guy has been in jail for almost half a century. He has paid his dues to society, he should be paroled.
Are his victims coming back from the dead? Will the kids get their father back?
