The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said on Fox News Thursday night that leaders of public employee unions in Wisconsin share responsibility for toning down the rhetoric in the Badger State, where protests have been going on over Gov. Scott Walker's plan to curb collective bargaining rights.
"Well, these union bosses that are acting like thugs ... are leading some of their good union members down a road that will ultimately result in, unfortunately, somebody getting hurt," Palin told Sean Hannity.

I agree with Palin.

If you go back in years when unions were first formed, they were formed by thugs.

In fact my grandpa was one. He helped "sign up" trucker in Charleston WVA. to be Teamsters.

The men joined or, their trucks were burned.

Well, most of the union leaders AND the Dem senators in Wisconsin have acted like thugs, so have their little well trained union thugs who did everything they could to stop democracy from occuring in the state. So Palin is 100% correct.

Face facts, i know for some it is very hard to swallow. Then what do you call the way they have acted, NICE! They have acted as thugs. Control and Power usually means one thing, that they are going to get their way one way or another. I have many friends who are in unions, the stories i hear, and the unions, are sorry not on the up and up, not all of them anyways. And the unions are not always there to leand that helping hand.

Thuggee (or tuggee, ठग्गी', ṭhagī ) (from Hindi ठग ṭhag ‘thief’, from Sanskrit स्थग sthaga ‘cunning’, ‘sly’, ‘fraudulent’, ‘dishonest’, ‘scoundrel’, from स्थगति sthagati ‘he conceals’)

Quote:
The Thugs were a well-organized confederacy of professional assassins, who in gangs of from 10 to 200 traveled in various guises through India, wormed themselves into the confidence of wayfarers of the wealthier class, and, when a favorable opportunity occurred, strangled them by throwing a handkerchief or noose round their necks, and then plundered and buried them. all this was done according to certain ancient and rigidly prescribed forms and after the performance of special religious rites, in which the consecration of the pick-axe and the sacrifice of sugar formed a prominent part.

Sounds to me like these union thugs were appropriately named.

The only thing they are missing is the pick axe.

NOTE: I realize that "pick axe" is just one word. However, the City-Data Censors apparently have an issue with *****xe.
