Why couldn't he take his predecessor's example and work 365 days a year with no hobbies or vacations whatsoever?

he had more vacations than Reagan and Clinton put together. Obama is barely even close to how many days of vacation that Bush took in his time in office.

same as Bush did when he was notified that the WTC towers were attacked by hijackers.
Continue what he was doing to not draw attention and when there was time, to politely excuse himself to attend to matters should they need his attention.

She wanted to know why the President wasn't trying
to send the military into Haley Barbour's (R) state.
I know many lawyers (in the 20's). Of the them only 2 play golf.
Depending where you live, and the current economy, I do not doubt that. The latest crop of lawyers, those lucky enough to get employed, are a new breed. In this particular area, though, a lot of the lawyers are from second and third generation firms. They graduated from law school and had a job waiting in Daddy's or Grandpa's firm. Come spring, these guys are still on the links more often than in court or the office.
