Not mad. Making a big deal of his name reflects more on you than on Obama.

What is your middle name? Do you go by it and/or are you called by it frequently? It's true that some people do go by their middle name, but most don't and most probably don't think about their middle name very often.

Did you name yourself- or did your parents name you- in which case you had absolutely nothing to do with it? True some people legally change their names as adults- but as infants and children we don't have much say or legal standing in the matter and can't do anything about our name. I believe Obama chose as an adult to use the name Barack Hussein Obama- his given name at birth- even though it could be argued he'd get less flack using Barry Soetoro.

That said, I do not care what you call Obama but you and others do look silly doing so and making such a big deal out of it- and it does appear that you don't think there is anything of REAL importance that needs to be named, identified, and dealt with. There are important issues that Obama- by any name- is not addressing and making fun of his name will not solve any of our problems. So why don't you drop him a line. Here, I'll help you out:

Dear President (ok forget the "dear" and the "President").....

To Barack Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama:

Please move faster to scale down the wars and remove our troops. This will save a lot of lives and taxpayer money and will help to decrease the deficit. While you're at it please repeal the "Patriot Act" and restore Posse Comitatus to it's original intent. Don't forget to repeal the Military Commissions Act and restore our rights.

With sincerity- other than a big snicker at your name,

A concerned citizen with a lovely name

In all honesty, Obama needs to basically fly over there in a giant anime-style mech, saving each and every Japanese person he comes across, then use its abilities to seal up each fault line, and then douse the exposed rods in the reactor cores. Only then will the right say, "I GUESS he did all right...but whose paying for that giant robot? Us, of course."

Obama will never be able to do anything right in the eyes of his critics.

Oh Really?

Hurricane Katrina - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
Hurricane Katrina of the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season was the costliest natural disaster, as well as one of the five deadliest hurricanes, in the history of the United States.[2] Among recorded Atlantic hurricanes, it was the sixth strongest overall. At least 1,836 people died in the actual hurricane and in the subsequent floods, making it the deadliest U.S. hurricane since the 1928 Okeechobee hurricane; total property damage was estimated at $81 billion (2005 USD),[2] nearly triple the damage wrought by Hurricane Andrew in 1992.[3]
George W. Bush: Hurricane Katrina

Quote:
When White House Actually Knew About Flooding

"Congressional investigators have now learned that an eyewitness account of the flooding" from FEMA official Marty Bahamonde "reached the Homeland Security Department's headquarters starting at 9:27 p.m. the day before, and the White House itself at midnight," Eric Lipton wrote in the February 10, 2006, New York Times.

Michael Brown said in a February 9, 2006, telephone interview that "he personally notified the White House of this news that night, though he declined to identify the official he spoke to," Lipton wrote.

Vacation as Usual

"On the day after Hurricane Katrina was declared to be not as bad as originally feared, it became clear that the effects of the storm had been, after all, beyond devastation," a New York Times Op-Ed announced August 31, 2005. "But this seems like the wrong moment to dwell on fault-finding, or even to point out that it took what may become the worst natural disaster in American history to pry President Bush out of his vacation."

"George Bush stayed on vacation. He didn't get back to work. When the worst natural disaster in our nation's history attacked us, George Bush STAYED ON VACATION. Why did the federal government stumble so badly on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday? Because on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday, George Bush stayed on vacation in Crawford, Texas. On Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday and Friday, vice president Dick Cheney STAYED ON VACATION in Jackson, Wyoming. On Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday, Sec. of State Condi Rice WENT ON VACATION in New York City and went to a splashy Broadway musical and bought obscenely expensive shoes. She went shopping," Michael Giltz of AMERICAblog wrote September 5, 2005.

"No need to explain why the President was golfing on Tuesday, playing guitar with country singers on a Tuesday while New Orleans died. Which would be fine if not for the inconvenient fact that the levees were breached on Monday, discovered on Monday, and confirmed on Monday. Monday was the day the levees broke," Izzy wrote September 3, 2005, in the blog Unbossed.

Moreover, "there were no calls for national unity, no experts explaining the state of things, no marshaling of buses and boats and helicopters. Our national leaders were absent. Our national pastimes went on. The experts who were on the news did not speak of the levee, the pumps, the flood, the emergency. They spoke of the revenue, the casinos, the oil, the markets," Izzy added.

I resent and object to “Georgia Dems” attempt to politicize this tragedy. That is highly inappropriate. There are tens of thousands of dead and injured. Show some respect.
He should have done NOTHING unless asked by the Japanese to do something. We can't afford to save the world. We can't even save ourselves! By sending troops over he put them in harms way as they were headed directly into the nuclear fall out.

by the way - your president's name is spelled Obama. He also goes by his first name of Barack, not his middle name of Hussein. I realize there might be some confusion and perhaps you're simply not educated on this subject, but I wanted to correct your mistake so you won't make it again. It would be almost as silly as calling John McCain Shirley.

Nothing much going on...so party on Hussein!
When did Japan become a state?

A US territory?

A country that can't afford to take care of themselves?

Who cares? Obama campaigned to be the president of the United States. He didn't sign on to play godfather to the rest of the world.
