Some would have you believe the movement of tectonic plates is VooDoo
Tectonic plates are a scientific theory, so it HAS to be wrong. Science is atheistic nonsense. College professors are dumb. Education, schools, and teachers are bad for families. A bunch of semiliterate nomads in the middle east got everything figured out to the last detail thousands of years ago.

DAMN! All that $$$ I wasted on textbooks and lab fees
I think jesus explained it best in luke 13:1-5. even though this example isn't a natural disaster the thought process of the people was the same. this disaster or any other that has happened or will happen since the resurrection is an opportunity; for God's people to show his love through their actions and the lost to see it for a chance to repent.
Mark 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in diverse places, and there shall be famines ...
It is in our Bible. The entire of which is inspired by God. So yes earthquakes would be signs from God. We (Christians) have been talking about end times being closer, why would that surprise anyone?
You "Christians" persecuted Galileo because he claimed the Sun was at the center of the solar system, justified slavery and religious war because it was written into the Old Testament, extinguished the Native American population in the Caribbean and Central America in the name of evangelization, pander for politicians and have been claiming the End of Times for more than a thousand years now. Your apocalyptic drivel grates like the fingernails of a repressed, nasty old spinster on a dirty chalkboard, God will make his choices when he makes them, please go away.
