Who declared war on whom is irrelevant. Opposing their military domination in Europe and their slaughter of millions of civilians was the "right" thing to do, even if it took us too long to do it.

Do you disagree?

No threat? You need to bone up on your history.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Gaddafi supported and often financed acts of international terrorism. He gave financial support to Islamic terrorist groups in Palestine and the Phillipines, Gaddafi sought close relations with the Soviet Union, and purchased arms from the Soviets. Gaddafi's support for paramilitary groups and international terrorism was often extended to groups including the Provisional IRA in Ireland, European terrorists in France and Germany, the United States, and Latin America.

Gaddafi had close ties with Slobodan Milošević. Gaddafi aligned himself with the Orthodox Serbs against Bosnia's and Kosovo's Muslims. Gaddafi supported Milošević even when other countries accused Milošević of ethnic cleansing in Kosovo.

Gaddafi was responsible for planting a bomb on Pan Am Flight 103, which came down on Lockerbie, Scotland. In 1981 Gaddafi was talking about assassinating American president Ronald Reagan.

Do you really want to defend this insane leader?

If that was ALL they were doing we might never have gotten involved. They were also slaughtering millions of jews, catholics, gypsies, homosexuals, etc. Oh yeah, they also were sinking our ships and declared war on us.

Protecting the Lybian opposition from government slaughter is also the right thing to do.

While you are defending them, do you even know what the opposition stands for?

Yes, what gets me is that liberals will quickly forget this, just like they forgot Bill Clinton was very much a war monger, even bombing Iraq to keep Monica off the front page.

And Hillary is a war mongering Secretary of State.

Actually,it was none of the USA's business,it was a European war.

Using your criteria, the USA should have invaded Communist China as it's government killed way more civilians and invaded neighboring nations.
