This is shameful.... I don't understand how these soldiers would do such a thing, then think they could get away with it.

These soldiers are currently going through a court martial. Commanders bracing for public fury.

This has happened with every country in every war that has ever happened. Not that big of a deal.

Unpossible! Obama has declared Afghanistan as the righteous war.

It IS a big deal, for anybody who claims to operate on a higher moral ground.

This is a nasty, savage reality of war. Is it revolting and unacceptable? Yes. Is it common? Yes. Expecting people who see the horrors of war daily to be unaffected is naive. I think the media blackout has resulted in the public not being exposed to the harsh realities. War leaves behind it a lot of living casualties, both military and civlian, both physical and emotional.

From the link:
Quote:
A record number of civilians were killed in Afghanistan last year. More than 2,700 civilians were killed in 2010 - up 15 per cent on the year before.

The actions of these soldiers,if found guilty is to be condemned. Not because of the pics but because they allegedly murdered these people for no reason.

Guys, make sure you downplay this and elevate any civilian deaths in Iraq. It's important that Obama's favorite warfront be kept pure and unmolested by reality.

I despise all warmongers, so I'll take that as a compliment.

How many civilians were killed by the Taliban and other natives and how many by American troops? The figure only explains the total.
