It's strange, mosr liberals claim they are opposed to corporate welfare, yet think handing out money to PP is OK.

What? A filibuster? You mean the Senate Democrats are going to hide out in a resort in Mexico?

While they said they have enough votes for a filibuster, it likely won't even get to that point. Based off the fact taking the funding away from Planned Parenthood is opposed by virtually all of the Democrats in the Senate as well as a number of Republicans, this has really no chance of making it into the bill. The filibuster talk was about if it does get into the final Senate bill but I don't see anyway how it even makes it into the bill.

Oh, I don't know, maybe for the same reason that Catholic Charities, The Salvation Army, Lutheran Family Services, and literally HUNDREDS of other faith-based charities have been funded by taxes?
"The March, 2004, issue of Church and State reports that the "Faith Czar" Jim Towey announced to reporters that $40 billion dollars was now available to religious charities."

Faith Base Initiative
OMG, you mean Bush had CZARS in his administration?? And none of the rightwingers were HYSTERICAL about their existence, let alone that they were funneling BILLIONS OF TAX DOLLARS to religious charities?

Will wonders never cease.

But G-d forbid $300 million goes to poor women and men who need reproductive healthcare. No way. We can't have that now, can we?

These very individuals celebrated the corporation handouts in the stimulus bill, so its hard to take them seriously...

Although they want to cut funding for family planning for people, they want to fund birth control for horses.

I know Republicans want to defund planned parenthood. My question is what in this budget has been cut that Republicans care about? It's easy to cut something you don't want but what are Republicans sacrificing? That's an honest question because I really don't know what else they are proposing to cut.

Also, I don't support any cuts by the Republicans right now because when you look at the overall budget, they are arguing over something like 0.1%. It's stupid and trivial and frankly juvenile for them to act this way. If they are going to propose cuts to medicaid, medicare, and social security then I think Democrats should listen. Until then, Republicans are just playing lipservice and, in my opinion, just need to shut up and get to work.

More blatantly dishonest posting. Obama is the one handing out the big $$ to corporations.

Democrats had all of Nancy Pelosi's Speakership to make meaningful cuts. Now they about cuts totaling 1%. Somehow $60 Billion is a huge amount if it is going to be cut; but, only a drop in the bucket when liberals want to spend it on one of their "special" programs. Liberal math is so inconsistent.

The whole nation sees you as whimpy hypocrits who care only about yourselves! The whole nation understands this country is broke so why don't you?

Hey liberals, time to put on your big boy panties and do what is best for the country instead of what is best for re-election!
