The law or ban that they passed affects ALL signs but that wasn't their intention so they intend to amend the ban to cover ONLY signs posted and not carried.

The city admitted the law wasn't clear and they're working to amend it, they wanted to stop signs from being posted in the park but were fine with people carrying signs but the language of the law isn't clear and the Tea Party spoke up about it in the form of a law suit.
They know this, they are trying to spin it to save face like usual.

Of course they are, anyone with half a brain can see how ignorant some of these people are. One of my dogs runs into our glass front door about once a week but I'm still pretty sure he's smarter than the average Tea Party hater.

So it's pretty clear now that the city has no problem with teabaggers carrying the hateful or racist signs. What's the problem??

Issue resolved, next.

But hey, unions have every right to protest. Because they're not political at ALL.

You're very welcome, it did sound really stupid until I actually read the article and realized that it made perfect sense.

We may argue and fight like family, but we are still all one family.

May God bless America.

The city was in the wrong, and the city attorney has said they were in the wrong, and that the law will be fixed. Good on the tea partiers for standing up for the First Amendment; good for the city for recognizing when they were in the wrong and taking steps to fix it.
