We may argue and fight like family, but we are still all one family.
May God bless America.
That may be true for many of you but there are a few people here who aren't in my family. If some of the people here who continue to purposely post lies were in my family I'd find a new family. I have no problem disagreeing with someone over facts which may or may not make me happy but I refuse to spend time educating complete morons who purposely lie and make every attempt possible to derail an otherwise civil thread.
The city was in the wrong, and the city attorney has said they were in the wrong, and that the law will be fixed. Good on the tea partiers for standing up for the First Amendment; good for the city for recognizing when they were in the wrong and taking steps to fix it.
As is typical of those who rely on NewsMax... the rest of the story.
Hutchinson said the ban was supposed to only deal with banners and signs “affixed to real property or fixtures” and not signs or banners held by a person.
“That should have been more clearly stated,” Hutchinson wrote in the email.
If a tea party website was able to get their hands on this info, why wasn't NewsMax? You, a member on this forum was able to get this info. What is NewsMax's excuse? Incompetence, laziness, or journalistic dishonesty?
Not every thread is or should be a case of you versus me. I may disagree with many things that tea partiers may say but I'll defend to the death their right to say it.

What does that have to do with the Tea Party or their signs?
this is from newsmax. probably didnt even happen, and if it did they are putting the newsmax spin on it.
post articles from at least somewhat neutral sites.
wnd, newsmax, daily kos, should not be believed.
Even a tea party website clarified the story and stated that the city had not intended the ban to apply to people carrying signs, but to signs being affixed on structures. Newsmax = rag.
They likely would have allowed them if a tea party member could actually learn how to spell.
Typical liberal (again). Since you have nothing to say about the topic you insult the opposition. FAIL- again.
