A Tea Party group is taking a Michigan city to federal court after it was banned from posting signs in a public park because they were deemed "too controversial."
Don't agree with what they're saying? Ban it. So much for the first amendment....
Are they banning signs from public places or are they banning people from carrying signs? I see nothing wrong with banning stand alone signs in public places. What if a company wanted to set up ads all over a park or a library? However they don't have a right to ban people from carrying signs or exercising their 1st amendment.
How offensive were the signs by the way? Did they us the n word like their previous signs?
For those who have a hard time reading the content before they make ignorant comments.

The suit said the Patriots met five times in the park carrying messages such as "No More Taxes," "Give Me Liberty . . . Not Debt," and "Born Free . . . Taxed to Death."
I dont want to see a bunch of racist hateful signs put up everywhere.
Simple. Go to another park or avert your gaze.
"no more taxes" is racist?
