For those that don't understand/know history, the Boston Tea Party is the name of the group that rose up against the King of England protesting England's raising taxes on American goods without any American representation. The hike on taxes on tea was the straw that broke the Camel's back.
This tea bagger stuff is totally disgusting! What kind of sick mind equates the party and movement that led to our freedom via the creation of the greatest Democracy this world has ever seen with some dark crap. Today's Tea Party has simply adopted the name in respect for that Boston Tea Party and basically stand for low taxes and follow the Constitution...period! Those of you who try to make fun of or spout nasty accusations should be ashamed of yourselves. Disagree because you want wild taxation and the hell with our Constitution...fine, but the ignorance, nastiness and spin are extremely unworthy of any U.S. citizen!

Exactly our point.
How dare those fascist teabaggers try to associate themselves with actual patriots.
The tea party are the ones that adopted that term. Embrace it man. Secondly, how is it offensive? I mean seriously. If right wingers accused leftists of engaging in sexual positions I wouldn't take offense to it, I'd probably find it humorous. Maybe I'm more thick skinned than most.
So then since a black liberal coined the phrase "Barack the magic negro", is it safe to consistently use that?
"Only 300 people (including a horde of Palmetto political operatives) attended the event in downtown Columbia, S.C.It’s also roughly a tenth the size of the crowd that attended this same event in 2009."
"Tea party draws 500 to tax-day rally"
This was supposed to be their big push. Not looking too good for them
The only rallies on the left that draw crowds recently, were attended by union members who were protesting for purely selfish reasons, like protecting their high wages and fat pensions.
When the left shows up to counter protest the TEA party, they are rude, crude and obnoxious.
Supposed to be their big push for what? We aren't in an election cycle, In your opinion what were they expecting big crowds for since you're the one who is making that claim?
When you cannot discuss the issues your party backs because they are so horrible they have brought economic ruin to this country you try to deflect from the issues and make the Tea Party seem ineffective.
Why discuss all the peoples lives we have ruined through our illegal occupation in the Middle East or the future of our children that have been ruined when you can ignore and deny instead?
Issues don't matter, talking about people in funny hats does.
Unlike Union members who worship the Trumpa-Obama model of community organizing for class envy and a future Marxist state, Tea Party participants work and pay their own way to these rallies.

Back then, when I asked about the appropriateness the "the magic negro" phrase, my post got deleted.
