During the trial it emerged that on a 26-mile long stretch on the southern part of the New Jersey Turnpike minorities accounted for 46 percent of the drivers stopped, even though they were only 15 percent of the speeders.

Whitman also kept her mouth shut in early February when Emblez Longoria, a New Jersey state trooper, filed suit against his department claiming that he was being pressured to make illegal stops of black and hispanic drivers in order to fulfill his arrest quotas. Longoria, who is hispanic, alleges that he was denied promotions and harassed by his superiors when he refused to pull over drivers using racial profiling

The search did not reveal contraband or evidence of any crime. After the search, Nevius checked the back of his car and saw that his tail lights were both working. When he mentioned this to the police officer, the officer laughed. He then issued Nevius a "warning" ticket for the alleged inoperative tail light.

Settlement for 4 in racial profiling case
The four men - Danny Reyes, Rayshawn Brown, Jarmaine Grant and Keshon Moore - were traveling from New York to basketball tryouts at North Carolina Central University in April 1998 when they were pulled over by two white troopers near Trenton. The troopers said the van was speeding.
After stopping, the van rolled back suddenly and Troopers John Hogan and James Kenna fired into it, injuring Reyes, Brown and Grant.

Troopers John Hogan and James Kenna pleaded guilty on Tuesday on charges of obstructing the investigation into the April 1998 shootings. They admitted to the court that they had lied to superiors investigating the shootings and that they had intentionally misrepresented the race of other drivers they had stopped in an effort to cover up the fact they were targeting racial minorities

Sorry but the NJSP hasn't a leg to stand on. Their history of harassing, profiling, and lying on official documents in order to violate the rights of minorities destroys any semblance of credibility and professionalism this organization may have ever had.

White house hired a communist in Van jones, hung a Mao Xmas ornament and now invites a rapper who insults law enforcement and everyone else of sound mind. business as usual, can you still vote for this pretender in 2012? Who are you?

Admin rabid minnion just claimed NJ police have a reputation for violating civil rights as a kind of jsutification for reality based rap.

What is election 2012 all about for you? Certainly any good Obama may do has to be mitigated by his disregard for America and his attempt to destroy it via economic collapse and regulation that bypasses congress.

Living the rich and popular life does not necessarily mean you are overly talented, especially in the "entertainment" industry. Of course, with most of the drivel the masses are spoon fed via "American Idol", Hollywood and corporate radio, the bar is set pretty low for perceived talent.

Unfortunately, I do, and I personally know some troopers. There are some seriously bad actors among the ranks in NJ...........and the stench permeates the state's law enforcement community in general.

In NJ that is certainly within the realm of possibility.

I also will attempt to inform (other) law enforcement authorities about your call for such a heinous crime, especially your advocacy of the commission of such a crime by a sworn LE officer.
Proud of yourself?

I see the children here don't know ANYTHING at all about respect and what is morally acceptable. This is POLICE WEEK in DC, where they honor police for their sacrifices. So Obozo's dumb wife invites a cop killer endorser to the WH the same week. Yeah, that is professional........for the ghetto......

You sound bitter. Have you been walking around in your wife-beater causing public alarms to go off and the cops show up? Sounds like it.
