Good thing many of the Conservative controlled states have been ahead of the curve, on gun regulations and restrictions.

All that is nothing new just re-hashing the arguement everytime one of these unstable idiots kill people their choice was a gun...it gets headlines where if you run over, stab, beat someone to death it does not receive as much press but it is still murder.
Some posters want to give their and others RIGHTS away if guns are banned then only the Police or Military will have them. When they turn on the people and kill them in the streets like what is going on in the MIDDLE EAST you will be singing a different tune.
There are 20,000 gun laws nationwide we do not need more laws just common sense...just my view.

We looked at history.
National Firearms Act of 1934 - signed by President FDR (D)
Gun Control Act of 1968 - signed by LBJ (D)
The District of Columbia enacts an anti-handgun law which also requires registration of all rifles and shotguns within the District of Columbia 1977 - Mayor Walter Washington (D)
Crime Control Act of 1990 (set up "gun free zones" aka "shooting fish in a barrel") - signed by GHW Bush (R)
Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act - signed by Clinton (D)
Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 (aka assault weapon ban) - signed by Clinton (D)

See the the number of D's vs R's? There is a trend.

Do you really have to call us "crazy rednecks"?

In McDonald vs Chicago, McDonald lost every step of the way until the Supreme Court which at the time had more Republican nominees than Democratic nominees.

The ATF is also looking at banning the importation of non-sporting shotguns. This is causing a run on the AK-47 based Saiga 12ga - ATF Study Causes Run on Saiga-12 Shotguns | The Truth About Guns

Yes the Greeley Gazette is wholly unreliable, it should be easy to debunk. We await your evisceration of this tome with baited breath. It should be easy for you.

The article had a link to a similar article in the Huffington Post; Obama Looking For Ways Around Congress On Gun Policy . Are you now going to claim the Huffington Post is a conservatively biased source?

The link was clearly listed in the Greeley Gazette article. Missing it was fairly ignorant. I'd think someone with a username like "noexcuseforignorance" would have surely noticed it and verified it's accuracy before blindly condemning a non-liberal source.

I suspect in your mind the only inexcusable ignorance is a failure to march in lockstep with your personal beliefs.

Clinton sure did & the assault weapon ban he signed made it easy for many of the states to get similar laws passed. That said I dont think Obama is fit to shine Clintons shoes. Clinton won his election. Obama was pretty much handed his. No way McCain was going to win.
