What was I thinking in 2008, when I voted for Obama?
I was thinking that it was time for a change from Bush, his party and his shadowy cohorts...and that I wasn't especially interested in the nightmarish scenario of a McCain/Palin administration.
Yeah, just think. It could have been John Edwards....

Thought he would repair the economy. That he would close Gitmo. That he didn't have Sarah Palin as a running mate (well at least he fulfilled that). That he would do great things for his home State. He would bring the Olympics to Chicago. One thing he actually accomplished: He got Emil Jones to call a vote on the ethics bill, which helped bring down Blagojevich. Blago may have hated the President, but that didn't stop him from allegedly trying to sell his Senate seat

Wow. That's an embarrassing interview. I forgot how much she rambles when she can't answer a question and doesn't grasp the potential ramifications of what she says. Amazing she thought she could be a world leader.
I'd say if you don't think a guy who went from "Maverick" to toeing the party line in a matter of months and Ms. "I'll Get Back to You on That Katie" Palin was enough reason to look elsewhere?..... LOL!!!! Okay...

Well we'll never know if his healthcare bill will succeed or fail, because the version that passed is a watered down version of what most Dems really wanted.... Somehow you all will use this as some sort of "proof" that single-payer/universal healthcare doesn't work when this bill is nothing of the sort....
Love how that works though. Make it near impossible for an agenda to be passed so a castrated version is all that can be put through and then complain that the castrated version isn't working..... Classic politics... (And that DOES cut both ways btw. I understand that.)
Ahhh, so another 2,000 pages of mind numbing, big government, legislation is what we need? Making it a law, as a function of citizenship, that every man, woman and child must buy health insurance, or be fined, punished or imprisoned, was not enough tyranny for you guys? Maybe a few thousand more waivers for noncompliance aught to do it then?
This goes out to you folks who voted for Obama in Nov. 2008, what were you thinking when you pulled that lever in the voting booth?:

Were you thinking, “Gee, I hope 0bama doesn’t repeal Bush’s Domestic Spying Program."
Were you thinking, "I hope 0bama keeps Gitmo open, and maintains rendition of suspected terrorists.”
Were you thinking, “I really hope 0bama increases the unemployment rate to 9% or 10%.”
Were you thinking, “Golly, I really hope 0bama starts printing trillions of US dollars, to monetize our national debt.”
Were you thinking, “I hope 0bama keeps the Bush tax cuts in place.”
Were you thinking, “I hope 0bama renews those civilian contracts for Halliburton and Blackwater.”
Were you thinking, “I hope 0bama cuts $500,000,000,000 from Medicare.”
Were you thinking, “I hope prices for a gallon of gasoline soar to over $4.”
Were you thinking, “I really hope 0bama runs up at least 1.5 trillion dollar deficits each and every year”.
Were you thinking, “I really, really, hope 0bama signs legislation that makes it impossible for businesses and unions to support health care insurance for their employees or union members.”
Please think, in 2012.
