The good news for those of us on the side of freedom is that it's a legal business that is protected under the First Amendment. No one is forced to participate in its production, and no one is forced to consume it as a viewer.
.
And no one should be forced to pay to monitor it either. Wonder how much it cost the taxpayers just to have the detailed meeting described in this article?
Show me the proof that the porn industry isn't filled with druggies.
No. You've made the accusation. It's up to you to prove it. Don't ask me to prove a negative. I could say, "Everyone who is against porn is a nutcase", and then demand that you prove it's not true. It would be just as ridiculous.

Good luck with that.
CAL-OSHA is doing its job, even if I don't agree with the way they're going about it. Unless you think you can override the responsibilities of CAL-OSHA, you're wasting your energies. And even if CAL-OSHA was disbanded, there's the federal OSHA rules that you'll have to worry about.

You've got a lot of work ahead of you.
And the layers of government bureaucratic waste pile up. Cha-Ching...

Yeah you can't prove, just as I thought. Porn stars with lots of experience telling about the industry and the people in it > some guy on the internet. I've seen more than enough to make me think more of them are druggies/came from broken homes than not. Then you say that isn't true but can't back it up.

I'm not just "some guy on the internet". I've had many years of experience working in and around adult entertainment. Have you? It doesn't sound like it.
Again, you shouldn't blame an entire industry for the problems of individuals. As you've stated, many of them may have come from broken homes. In other words, they had problems before they ever became involved with adult entertainment.
Waiters and waitresses have high rates of drug use too, but I doubt you would advocate shutting down restaurants or eliminating wait staff.

My logic is that the state focuses on the safety during the act, but neglects the widespread destruction of those who watch this stuff. This industry causes most of its destruction on the other side of the camera.
Oh well... you really think people will stop having sex & taping it, whether there's a legal porn industry or not? Just as I feel about prostitution, I'd rather have it regulated and safe(r) than to impose morality laws on consenting adults.

I noticed you said "occasionally" in your post - what if it's more? What if it causes him to look at other women a little more attentively? Then what?
As with anything else, there's a line between moderation and excess... and anything in excess can be harmful, whether it's food, porn, drugs, liquor, or whatever. I honestly wouldn't care how much porn he watched, as long as it didn't become an obsession that took over his life - even then, it would have less to do with the specific addiction, and more to do with the fact that he's addicted to something. When's he going to have time for me, and our hypothetical family, if he's watching porn 24/7? As for "looking at women more attentively," that doesn't bother me if he's just LOOKING. I'm not as insecure as some women, apparently.
