Last week US Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke warned that America’s creditworthiness is at risk if the limit is not raised imminently.
More strongly, President Obama warned of “a reprise of [the] financial crisis” if something is not done soon to avert a US default that would eclipse many times over any by Greece.
