that's no justification for them paying less than their fair share, which is the point that you failed to address.

so then you are telling me you want ot make everyone equally poor?
No, I'm telling you I want to use wealth instead of income as the basis for taxation.

no, class warfare is what the democrats play to get the poor on their side and against the so called "evil rich" so they can try to stay in power.
the democrats tend to use men, white people, rednecks, and christians to vilify. Rich people donate too much to be criticized.

well since it is applied only when the owner of said wealth has passed on, then the tern "death tax" properly applies now doesnt it?
no, since it isn't your death that is being taxed, it is your inheritance.

no, but you are pushing their plan to raise taxes on the rich now arent you?
i am not pushing their plan. in fact i don't even know what their plan is.

Alan Simpson wants to know where Grover Norquist gets his drugs. That was too funny on The Last Word a few minutes ago.

That's not true at all. 90% of all federal government spending could be cut... then private enterprise would flourish, people would have more of their own money to spend and government waste would be tiny..

I agree, but so many have latched on to the government at this point for employment or other entitlements that they should never had.
They will go through lots of withdrawl.

Nope. Not even close, as has been pointed out in several threads.

But go ahead and continue to lie. That way everyone knows whose posts to disregard as unreliable.

So again, explain to me why they need a lower tax rate if they can buy 98% of America?
When I was loading trucks at night to work my way through college, one of my co-workers would go buy beer at break-time so that after the shift ended at midnight, those guys could sit outside the warehouse and drink beer until dawn (when I was waking up to go to classes.)

I made myself 100 times more valuable than any one of them, measured by customers who voluntarily pay me for my services in a very competitive market.

Is there any reason why I should not make 100 times the money, and have 100 times the wealth?

Then you're advocating a tax cut for the top 1%. They own less of the wealth than the percentage of the taxes they pay.

Personally, I have absolutely no problem enacting a ONE TIME provision, taxing "so called" rich persons/corporations. Making them all cough up millions/billions/trillions of dollars, to pay down our debt problems.

HOWEVER, if the people in the United States cannot and will not get over their "entitlement" attitudes, I say corporate america and every rich person should tell you to F off.

Social security and medicare, is the MAJOR downfall of the United States economy. You can argue wars, military, etc. But shut ALL of that down, and still entitlement programs bankrupt this country.

If you want to live, if you want a life, then make it yourself. NO ONE gave you a free pass. The constitution ONLY gurantees you "the pursuit of happiness..." Doesn't say you will be happy or even deserve it. You want a life that is wonderful, work for it.

And yes, this is from a black man, who has worked his entire life...

You have no idea how much of our economy is a direct result of government spending.
