HOW do you strengthen NICS without making it more onerous and restrictive upon law abiding citizens?

Obama is attempting to placate his dwindling base, this is political.

AWB would have never passed if not for Republican help..

I think there should be some reasonable gun control in terms of registration and ownership... I don't know what Obama is planning with the DOJ but since it won't need congressional approval it may be just reinforcing the laws that are already present on the books which is a good thing... Personally, I think gun shows/auctions should also be restricted with background checks through a third party vendor...

Hello? Earth to GOP??? None of this worked before and it's not going to work the next time either.

You are going to lose your election if you keep doing this.

(Ironically I said the same thing last time too, and guess what? You lost to Obama.)
How'd that midterm go?

Last I checked, boarding an airplane wasn't a guaranteed constitutional right.

If they do that, then Obama and Holder are going to be in impeachment proceedings. And it ain't gonna happen

Then of course we get this exaggeration and spin...that there is a credible effort on part of the government to "grab guns"....LOL

NRA propaganda designed to pick the pockets of these conspiracy minded, low IQ, gun nuts.

My love of the Constitution and Bill of Rights begins with the 1st Amendment and ends with the 10th Amendment.

Also, if you look into the past of the NRA you will find that they are more into gun control than the brady bunch or even the feds.

These threads are started by middle age men and women because the liberals have spent the last generation or 2 teaching to our children in piblic indoctrination centers, that the federal goverment is there to protect you and that our children should fall lockstep and goosestepping in line with whatever the federal goverment says.

clinton did not take all the guns, he just created a ban on a entire class of firearms for their looks and nothing else.

Did you watch any part of that video? If you did you would have seen that the two least informed, stupidest people on it were a white woman and a possibly Hispanic man. At any rate at least two of the people in it would have voted different if they had been informed about a number of things that the MSM never told people.

Did you notice that they were all very well informed about the things that were true about Palin along with being so well informed about things she didn't say. Do you know enough about the real truth of the questions asked those people, even this late in the day, to support what they seemed to be thinking.

Do you suppose that the failure of "Fast and Furious" has told him anything about what happens when you try something covert like that? It is too late for him to back down now with what is becoming widely known about that deal.
