With what has transpired from the gun running program the DOJ is neck deep in it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they targeted Giffords with an assassin and shot her to implement new gun controls.
WASHINGTON — Half a year after the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), the Obama administration is set to release a package of reforms to the current gun law, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said on Thursday.
The reforms, which are being crafted by the Department of Justice, come after a series of meetings with relevant stakeholders in the Second Amendment debate.
This current DOJ should be forbidden from doing anything until they explain and confess what they know about the US guns to Mexican drug dealers story. The appropriate people, which include Holder, should be held accountable.
Anyone who has faith and confidence in this DOJ is either ignorant or just as twisted and corrupt as they are.
This would be a typical thread started by a middle aged to elderly white male that has his "priorities" in order.
His love and respect of the Constitution begins and ends with the 2nd amendment. He cheerfully and selectively ignores the other civil rights when it suits him.
Then of course we get this exaggeration and spin...that there is a credible effort on part of the government to "grab guns"....LOL
NRA propaganda designed to pick the pockets of these conspiracy minded, low IQ, gun nuts.
The thing I like about the "priorities" argument is how often it's a double edged sword, and the argument so often easily works against the person using that argument. It is largely a fruitless argument, though. Doesn't really advance either sides case in any constructive way unless they largely agree on the specific issue. Else they'll just argue back and forth seemingly endlessly whether it is, or isn't, worth the time.
Okay, so people supposedly have their priorities wrong and should worry about "the important issues."
Great, then the administration should have no problem dropping this issue.... because it's not a priority, right? Hence, the whole "priorities" argument. Perhaps then dedicate time to the "issues that really matter."
So, sounds like a plan. Maybe the administration should "get its priorities right" and not waste time with this crap and do something more productive. Go tell them that.
It's a pretty simple: Don't wan't people dedicating time to countering that which is proposed because it is wasted time that "distracts from the important things," then tell the guys running the show to not raise the issue to begin with (Hence, dedicating time to it. Notice the double-standard there?). As a consequence, people will then not have a desire to "devote valuable time" to counter the very thing that was proposed that is supposedly not worthy of time being dedicated to it.
