Eye-witnesses say there were two persons shooting, according to some newspapers. Their stories are unbelievable. Some survived by playing dead, laying on the ground with bodies over them.

I am deeply shocked and lost for words.

Norway's authorities interview suspect after dual attacks | Europe | Deutsche Welle | 23.07.2011

Norway Police: Attacks Suspect is 'Christian Fundamentalist' - Naharnet

Would someone of the "You don't see fundamental Christians blowing up things or shooting people, only fundamental Muslims behave that way" crowd care to explain?

Funny how it was automatically Al Qaeda yesterday as far as the US was concerned.

Wonder if every time Napolitano shakes the Al Qaeda stick at us they get a check.

It sounds like the kind of talk we hear here every day from the far right wingers.

Get this: he faces 21 years in prison. He'll be free in his early 50s
Nice use of the tragedy to make political points....

So you're saying that while this seems to be a terrorist attack by a christian fundamentalist, it doesn't count as valid argument in the discussion if there is christian terrorism, because there are more instances of muslim terrorism?

Actually, he'll probably get life in containment. People convicted to crimes like rape, assault, murder and arson can be sentenced to detention rather than prison in Norway. It is similar, except the prisoner isn't released untill he is no longer considered a danger to society.

Which, in this case, would be never.
