Most didn't even understand what was going on, many was wondering what was going on, if it was even real, and in the confusion, many actually called for him, because they thought he was the police.
I know. I can only imagine the fear and confusion that the kids faced. Such a tragedy.

What does a 'conservative christian' mean in Norway? Anyone with knowledge about this?
Also, what does the anti-islamic stance have to do with attacking his own people or the political party? I am not sure of the relevence of this - anyone understand Norway's politics?
What it really shows is who most thnk does these things whe this happems. I guess it comes form the number you were resonsible for and the number of tiems you coninue to threaten more. Terroist attacks means your the usual suspects.
From another forum, where a Norwegian translated a local news interview for us.
Quote:
Reporter: "You've been at Utøya today, can you tell us what you experienced out there?"
Girl: "I was in the main building at first, where we started to hear gunfire. Everyone started running from room to room; as he fired into the rooms we had to move on. That was when several were shot and trampled in there. Then we ran down towards the water, where we hid under cliffs. There were AUF members all around us, and he walked slowly around and shot everyone. After a while he came towards me, and he walked calmly over and shot ten people sitting right next to me. And then I jumped into the water, and he fired after me while I was under water. When I turned around, he was just standing there looking at me, and tried to shoot me again. Then I just kept swimming [outwards]"
Reporter: "How did you manage to get out of this situation?"
Girl: "I ran. I wasn't really thinking, I was just getting away. We could hear gunfire all the time, so we just kept running away from where the shots were coming from. It was survival instinct that kicked in. You just ran."
Reporter: "What were you thinking while this was happening? Did you see him?"
Girl: "I saw him when he was shooting my friends, who were sitting next to me. I saw him then, and he was very calm and cold. He wasn't agitated, he said he was a policeman and said clearly 'I am with the police, just come over here' so everyone went over towards him while I waited a while. Then he shot everyone, slowly but securely."
Reporter: "How did you manage to get here?"
Girl: "I got a ride with a very nice lady that drove me and some of my friends here."
Reporter: "You're soaking wet, and you have no shoes. Did you swim to shore from Utøya?"
Girl: "I was in the water for a long time, because I couldn't get out of the water because he was there. And when he went away, it was too far to swim back [to Utøya], and I'd been in the water about an hour before he came, so I couldn't feel my legs [from the cold]. Then a boat came and got me out of the water. I was very hypothermic, so they had to warm me up when I got to the shore."
Reporter: "Were you alone out there?"
Girl: "Yes, several others had gotten ashore while I was out there alone."
Reporter: "What are your thoughts about this now?"
Girl: "It's completely unreal. Everyone's in shock, and we're missing friends and we hear a lot of rumors. It's crazy, we just don't understand what's happened."
Reporter: "How did it feel to meet your mother when you got here?"
Girl: "It was lovely to see people I know, and not just AUF members. To see someone you love that weren't there when it happened."
Reporter: "Have you given any thought to what has happened today and why?"
Girl: "It's completely mad. I can't understand what he was doing there, or anything really. Noone understands what he was doing. He was so calm, that was what was so strange. He wasn't running around and shooting wildly, he took everything very calmly. Walked into the tents and such."
Reporter: "He walked into the tents?"
Girl: "[Affirmative hum] That's what we've been told here, that he went into the tents when he saw people run into them. And he was always walking slowly. Calm, all the time."
Reporter: "At what point did you understand what was going on?"
Girl: "I thought it was fireworks or a softgun or something like that at first, because we heard three shots. At that point I was fairly close. And then people started yelling 'there's gunfire' and I didn't believe them at first. But then the panic started, and there was more gunfire and you saw people falling down. And that's when the panic came, and I understood something was wrong."

It means that he hates the party for not disliking immigrants and muslims as much as he does and allowing their arrival and continued existence.
