you will never know whether the piece was humorous or not since you refuse to even look at it. Maybe you missed the part of my OP that quoted and the fact that it was Christians that the Times took to the wood shed.
I am sorry that I hurt your feelings but I didn't now any Norwegians were here.
What the hell is wrong with you? Should it matter if there are Norwegians on our forum or not? There is absolutely NOTHING humorous about innocent people dying. NOTHING. Only a very sick person could find humor in this situation.
Too true. She obviously does not understand that "correlation does not equal causation".
The guy probably read the Bible, too.
You just make her point---glad you got it.
The NYT had the headline---"Christian" and that was all they needed to know. They went wild on that point. They didn't look further into who the killer was. So Coulter took the same tact and came to a further stupid conclusion, killer read the NYT---it's called sarcasm. Get a grip.

Please provide a link to this headline. Ann Coulter is a biatch. She is not funny. Killing people is not funny.

Wasn't it first reported that a Muslim or Muslim group was responsible?
In that case, I think it's perfectly valid to point out that he was a Christian.
Yesterday's first reports on the massacre in Norway suggested that there was a link between the horrific attacks, which left 92 dead at latest reports, and Muslim extremists. Only later was the news released that the suspect taken by police, Anders Behring Breivik, was apparently a conservative, right-wing Christian with strong anti-Muslim and anti-immigration beliefs. Many in the media were left reeling over the fact that others were so quick to report and comment that Muslims were involved, before there was clear evidence. Rupert Murdoch's newspaper The Sun had as a headline on the front page, "Al Qaeda Massacre: Norway's 9/11." The Wall Street Journal posted an editorial on the bombings that begins with references to Islam.
----------------------------------------
And gosh, it appears that Murdoch papers were the first to jump to a false conclusion.... hmmm.
They call him Christian because he calls himself Christian. Is the media supposed to ignore his manifesto? And it is not only the NY Times that mentions this. It would be poor journalism if they ignored what he has written in his manifesto. The shooter is like 99% of all Christians. Calling himself Christian but not acting like Jesus.
This one is very humorous and does to the Times what it has needed for a long time. This time it isn't the Times columnists that are being had.
The New York Times wasted no time in jumping to conclusions about Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian who staged two deadly attacks in Oslo last weekend, claiming in the first two paragraphs of one story that he was a "gun-loving," "right-wing," "fundamentalist Christian," opposed to "multiculturalism."
New York Times has backed away from their statement on Breivik and fundamental Christian. He was as an adult not practicing Christianity even if he claimed to believe in Christianity, he did not practice it, it's based purely on Jesus and his teachings to follow Him, and not to murder. No one should blame a non violent religion as Christianity for this mass murder, simply not what Christianity teaches. I heard he had Nazi ideas. It's likely Breivik is crazy as well. Muslim terrorists cling to Koran scripture that states to kill the infidel in other religions (if won't convert), as well as other scripture to kill. This leads extremists and even some we know of as nice people such as Cat Stevens to think punishment for isulting Islam is death, such as for that book author. Different religions, Islam and Christianity. Mc Vey was a strong atheist through the very end. Nations peoples tend not to want another religion and culture to take over their nation understandably but they do not deal with it by murder.
