Abolish the entire federal tax code and the Federal Reserve, and replace with - The Ergo Tax.

The treasury prints out greenbacks and loans directly to all banks and all businesses having more than two employees - with interest. (The same interest rate for all borrowers)

The interest payments, from the banks and businesses to the treasury, replace the abolished tax code revenues.

All greenbacks backed by full-reserve gold, silver and copper, proportioned in market value sequence and weight.

It would be the "work-therefore" tax method.

An ergomaniacal road trip.

Logistics, I guess. Besides, Government shouldn't be holding paper on anyone's abode or body. Join the military if you want autocracy.

Consumers and individuals can borrow from banks or just get paid from their employer and save.

Banks, as artificial persons, would not be allowed by law to be anything but banks. (With no adjective modification.)

wouldn't this be like government subsidizing banks, though, by lending them money at a low rate, and having them lend to individuals at a higher rate?

The Government is incompetent to manage loans.

If banks were only allowed to be full reserve banks, they would compete with each other (hopefully).

Market activity would be the only funding source for government operations, other than to "print and spend".

The Government would replace the Federal Reserve Bank.

It is a no.

Do not misuse the term, "subsidize".

sub·si·dize/ˈsəbsəˌdīz/Verb
1. Support (an organization or activity) financially
2. Pay part of the cost of producing (something) to reduce prices for the buyer

how am i misusing it?

by lending to banks at X and having them lend at X + Y%, you are subsidizing the bank by Y%. I fail to see why banks should enjoy a lower cost of capital than other firms, or even individuals.

Support? Some banks might feel resentful at having to pay the Government back any principle, or interest.
