We are led by spolied children in the bodies of adults.

They were warned, but too stubborn and arrogant to make the necessary changes. Now our credit worthiness has dropped. Good work *******s.

I didn't know there was . . . ???

Seems folks keep wanting to point their fingers at Tea Party Freshman, but voters SENT THOSE GUYS TO CONGRESS - with a MANDATE.

They were doing exactly what their voters put them in place to do.

Gallup Daily: Obama Job Approval
I guess you just totally ignored all the other polling. Out of all the figures involved in the debt cieling - deficit reduction deals President Obama comes out the rated higher than John Boehner.

Obama Rates Higher Than Boehner, Reid on Debt Situation

Quote:
Americans are more likely to approve of the way President Obama is handling the negotiations to raise the federal debt ceiling than they are to approve of the handling of the situation by Speaker of the House John Boehner or Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, although opinions about all three are more negative than positive.
President Obama - Approved 41%

John Boehner - Approved 31%

Also slightly more independents approved of President Obama's handling of the debt ceiling than John Boehner by a 35% to 31% margin.

He didn't do enough? This is the silent civil war the Teajihadists have started against the American people. He had the cuts, but it was that twerp Cantor and his ilk that fought it.

Tea Party people will kill America in their fight to get every American forced into evalgelicalism, flopping on the floor babbling in tongues, and to bring the first Black President down.

I said days ago they started a cold war style civil war.

I dunno what all this hooplah over deficits and debt is about.

"Deficits don't matter." - Dick Cheney

Words of wisdom from one of our nation's plutarchs. Someone at S&P needs to be shot in the face by the man himself.

What's really, sadly ironic about it is that lenders will now likely charge us more interest- adding to the debt. Even 10 basis points is HUGE on a large loan.

On a personal level, interest we pay on mortgages, car loans, etc. may go up- taking more discretionary spending money out of the economy.

We should have had a clean up or down vote on the debt ceiling and then, along with helping with job creation, work on reducing the debt and deficit.

We shot ourselves in the foot again. I'm sure the Reps and TPers are happy because it makes Obama look bad- even though he is not the one who makes the laws- and they care much more about that than they care about this country's best interests.

Thanks a lot congress, dems and reps alike. A pox on both your houses.

Yep, and what is so incredible about THAT FACT - we have Obamacare wh/ is gonna cost us a gazillion $$$ - coming up in 2014.

It is much worse than people seem to realize - but the S&P managed to look through the smoke and mirrors and see it for what it is.

Raising the debt ceiling did nothing to stop a downgrade so how was that fiscally responsible?

Mine sure as hell did what we sent him there to do and blaming him for any of this is more childish than anything I can think of.
