Read "Unlimited Access" by Gary Aldrich. Aldrich is a former FBI agent assigned to the White House during the Bush 41 and Clinton years.

What has come out over the years from Secret Service agents and how they were treated by the various presidents and their families is both appalling and heart warming, depending on who they were talking about.

Even Chelsea Clinton told one of her friends that was visting once that her mother (Hillary) called the Secret Service detail "Her trained pigs".

Do you have any proof that this actually happened? I heard that Ronald Reagan used to douse his security detail in a mixture of feces and naphtha and chase them around with a lit match when he got bored. I wonder if our sources have anything in common.

Anybody can say anything they like (nearly). That is the blessing and the curse of the 1st Amendment.

What we believe is another matter.

From page 90 of the book "Unlimited Access" by former FBI agent Gary Aldrich:

Another close source, this one in the Secret Service, told me that Hillary had ordered her Secret Service protective detail to
"stay the f--k away from me!" and to keep at least ten yards of distance between her and them at all times.
The Secret Service agent told me that it was much harder to protect her from a distance of ten yards, and she was told this, but she didn't seem to care what the Secret Service said. He also told me that it was obvious that she had a clear dislike for the agents, bordering on hatred, in his opinion.

Along those same lines, another source reports that two Secret Service agents heard Hillary's daughter Chelsea refer to them as "personal, trained pigs" to some of her friends. When the friends had gone, the senior agent on the detail tried to scold Chelsea for such disrespect. He told her that he was willing to put his life on the line to save hers, and he believed that her father, the president, would be shocked if he heard what she had just said to her friends. Chelsea's response?

"I don't think so. That's what my parents call you."

This video falls very much in line with the distortions Republicans and conservatives use on a regular basis to describe the people they don't like. In fact, I recently received a chain email describing Obama and his staff in the most unbelievable terms while using angelic adjectives for Republicans. I don't trust it. The hatred of Obama is viral and uncontrolled and, in my view, 90% unjustified. I don't particularly support the guy's actions, I do applaud his rhetoric, and I am sorry he's not as strong as I'd like. BUT, I would never resort to taking some guy's self-described inside information as truth in this political environment. It too neatly fits the right's overblown attacks. The only thing served here is blame, something we'd much rather dish out than accept ourselves. Who needs terrorists when we've got each other to demonize?

That certainly sounds just like what I think about Obama. You said it though and I just put your words to use.

Would you like to provide a link to that little story about Reagan just in case it didn't?
