Corporations have been at war with the middle class for decades. Middle class salaries have been stagnant while the wages of those who run corporate American have skyrocketed. Asking those who run them to pay their fair share for the infrastructure that makes corporate profits possible is only fair.

Republican arguments get sillier by the second.

Racist! I can see that you need to be sent to an Obama Re-Education Camp!

I don't think liberals even realize that corporations are 51% publicly owned. We're talking middle and working class people, retirement funds, pensions, 401ks, etc.

When liberals savage corporations, they're literally savaging working class and middle class people who work for corporations, they're savaging working/middle class people who own shares of corporations, and they're savaging people who buy from corporations. The reason liberals savage the middle class so viciously is so they can make the richest .5% even wealthier while the bottom 99.5% are all pushed down into poverty. It's not about spreading the wealth so much as its about hoarding the wealth and making everyone else a poor pauper, enslaved by the government elite.

This is completely lost to liberals. They do not understand that the single greatest attack against the middle class was launched by Bill Clinton via NAFTA and China most favored nation trade status. He GUTTED the middle class, yet liberals love him.

The middle class needs JOBS AND INDUSTRY to remain in the middle class. This is not achieved through unfavorable trade policies, high corporate tax rates, class action suits, and increased EPA regulations.

Liberals are the natural enemies of buisness, which I had assumed most people naturally took as a matter of fact. Liberals, in general, believe that gay marriage and abortion is more important than jobs and US trade and therefore support liberal candidates despite their effect on the economy.

Who in their right mind actually thought that Obama and his far left policies would actually BENEFIT US industry and jobs?

Corporations freely discriminate when left unchecked, hiring black people last and firing them first. Corporations, unchecked, will displace millions of qualified americans to bring in foreign labor because it's cheaper. Damn employee loyalty. Damn the families which depend on the wage-earner. Keeping those at the top, fat, dump, and happy is paramount when the GOP is calling the shots.

Under the GOP, corporations exploit people to benefit a select few. This is similar to all that the GOP represents and practices. Bigoted, divisive, narrow-minded, and not good for the country, the GOP stinks. Liberal polices are far superior. An even and more equitable distribution of the wealth benefits the middle class. Keeping and retraining qualified american workers rather than displacing them with foreigners, benefits the middle class. Exploring solutions to help those in the lower class find a path to the middle class is a Liberal practice. GOP polices cause those in the lower class to be ignored, while the ranks of the lower class are joined by those in the middle class. The GOP only works to benefit the most privileged class while everyone else goes to hell.

Liberals support regulation to prevent discrimination. This benefits the middle class. This is especially true when talking about corporations. Very disturbing the continuing existence of the GOP, as Conservatives continue to ignore common sense, promote inequity, and support bigotry.
Just a few questions, if you don't mind.

Most people choose the best value for their dollar when they spend money. This assures that the companies that provide the best products and services in a competitive market are the ones that thrive. Did you know, companies maximize profits by maximizing the value they provide to the rest of society? Or do you spend your money in the worst possible way you can, rewarding the lousiest provider?

Did you know that corporations MUST pay workers what they are worth, or nobody will show up for work? Could the problem be that some people are just not much use to the rest of society, and nobody can afford to pay them enough to live on? Doesn't the individual have some responsibility to become valuable?

Did you know that many conservatives believe the source of our wealth and prosperity is the freedom of each individual to unlock the highest fraction of their own potential, regardless of race or creed? And that reducing barriers to that freedom is of greater importance than practicing group identity politics that provide rewards for holding a certain status or having certain attributes?

I would like to see every corporation shut down for 6 months with no pay to its workers.

As they say, "YOU DON'T APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE UNTIL YOU DON'T HAVE IT ANYMORE'.

Many American jobs are now in China or India. Some corps moved entire plants overseas to save 2% in operating costs. Every time we call for service we are talking to "Peggy." The main thing corps are doing in American is selling. Like China-mart selling a dress made in India and paying a worker $1 to assemble the dress while selling it for $19.99 here in America. A logo hat made in China for $.93 and selling here in America for $25. Yea there is a lot to thank corps for, my ass. Let us not forget GE earning billion in American dollars paying absolutely no taxes and getting 3 billion American dollars for what. What about clothing with the American logo, flags, made in Indonesia, India and China. Corporations are not creating jobs they are moving them overseas. The only jobs created with the trickle-down theory are the ones in China, India or place other than America.

I'd like to see Americans stop buying anything that is not made in America for one month.

This has been the most anti-business admin in my life, and volla, we have the highest averag unemployment of a presidential term during my lifetime. That is why Obama went on a JOB tour this week, singular on purpose, fighting for his JOB. Only 26 percent approve of his handling of the economy. That will drop far more within 1 year.

Absolutely correct, yet the left loves him. They just cannot get enough of average Americans out of work and on food stamps- that is just peachy.

Leftist economic principles work to kill jobs in America- that is obvious to anyone, except, perhaps, liberals.

The nation is on its knees and will not afford an inexperienced, incompetent liberal, four more years of "on the job training". It is time for the adults to take over and reverse liberal trade and economic policies and put the nation back to work.

Obama has convinced this generation that liberalism = economic misery

Correct, hawkeye, Bill Clinton, the Pro-NAFTA, pro business DLC man had wonderful job creation, but the DNC squashed the DLC. How dare they be more business friendly? Much rather have 14 million unemployed, plus an equal amount or more under-employed, but be true to the dogma of the RADICAL left.

And I'd like to see what their shareholders do when they lose everything from those corporations shutting down. Then some upstarts coming along to steal all of the talent and market share within 2 months. Let's do it!
