Mark Penn.

Mark Penn: Strategy Corner: Obama -- Don't Bring Back Class Warfare

Quote:
And most of all, he should be bringing the country together rather than dividing it through class warfare.

Obama's team actually believes that in the last six months they have courted independent voters and that didn't work, so now they are turning to activating the base with higher taxes on the wealthy.

And now, Obama is pressing the case for higher taxes, following in the footsteps of Walter Mondale.
As the man says, higher taxes poll well, but when it comes right down to it, the people understand that more spending, more taxation is the WRONG path.

But this has been his strategy and tactic from the start - divide people by race, class, gender. What a divider!

Obama has tacked to the Left even more, but it is not the Left he needs to worry about. The Left can never win elections on their own.

This lurch pretty much assures a GOP win.

The Republicans do not admit class warfare actually exists because they and their plutocratic owners are consistently winning back the privilege they lost during the 1950's and 60's.

Hey, the rich Koch Brothers started it by backing movements against the middle class---teachers, fire and police and other public service workers. If the Left is pushing back, too bad.

Higher taxes for the millionaires and billionaires? Boohoo! It's about time they pay the same percentages as the rest of us.

Default Obama: This is not class warfare it is just math.

Good for Obama. It seems he finally gets it.

He is finally standing up to the republicans.

What would you expect from an inexperienced buffoon like Barack Hussein. His only private sector experience was yelling through a bullhorn and shaking down private companies in Chicago.

Yep, guess the moochers are looking for a handout.....easiest way is to redo tax code, lets make one rate for all with no deductions...would be better for the 40% plus American who pay no income tax to start paying their fair share...

Sorry, I don't see where he is a democrat. He has worked for Democrats, but also for large corporations like Texaco, Microsoft etc. I see a little bias here. He certainly is not a prominent democrat. I thought this was going to be a post about a Democratic politician. A little misleading.
