Well, this isn't political, and I doubt even controversial...though I bet someone can make it so. Still, I like this story and wanted to share.

edit to add-just to make it appropriate for P&OC.

Maybe she should have called 911 and waited for help?

Great story, thanks for sharing. Seriously gutsy moves on her part (and the horse).

Better report her to #attackwatch and PETA for wildlife harrassment. Cass Sunstien would not approve of her making that griz go hungry.

She's probably an Obama supporter. LOL

Girl Punches Bear in the Face to Save Dog - Cat Dog Blog (http://www.baxterboo.com/catdogblog/post.cfm/girl-punches-bear-in-the-face-to-save-dog - broken link)

I'll raise your 'cowgirl using a horse as a battering ram' with a 'girl punches bear in face'.

Not even the same if you know anything at all about Grizzlies.

Especially one that has a bead on prey and was in the middle of a take down. That Grizzly could have easily killed one or both of those horses, the boy and the Cow Girl if it was so inclined.

However that Alaskan Girl showed a tremendous amount of courage and risked a mauling.
