Active volcanoes do much more than you could ever wish we could.

I see I was right, you bringing up something that happened in another post. Ice usually helps with bruising, FYI

Really, volcanoes cause smog in populated areas?

There was a slight cooling trend from 1940-1965 compared to 1900-1940. With many more humans and industry during the latter period, why did the Earth cool?

The answer is that the Earth warms and cools regardless of what humans do. Urban heat islands do not affect global climate.

I don't think any climate scientist would argue that climate change isn't naturally occurring. The question is how much of an impact do we humans exacerbate the problem.

China is already dealing the problems of desertification of once arable land due to poor irrigation and farming practices, overfishing is hurting our fish stock and diversity, CFCs caused minor ozone depletion, emitting sulfur from burning fossils fuels causes acid rain, etc. Luckily some of those problems were corrected by regulations. The fact remains, we can adversely alter our environment.
