AMA is a sellout to physicians and does not triumph physicians' best interests. The REAL story about how physicians view Obamacare:

Doctors And AMA Split Over Contentious Issue Of ObamaCare - Forbes

There was a big PR event at the White House with Obama and the AMA,.....but the doctors in the trenches disagree with both the AMA and Obama. The AMA is overblown: only 17% of physicians even belong to the AMA, and that number is dwindling.

The Healthcare Debate is Far From Over | Physicians News

Is it time for a REAL union?

Of all the people who do not need a Union Physicians would be highest on the list. They already get overpaid now. Why do they need a union?

the AMA is not a union. it is a professional organization, like the NAR, or the AICPA.

and no, they don't need a union, but they do need organized representation. There are a lot of people out there who want to cap doctors' pay, while a lot of these younger doctors need high, market-based pay to help them pay off their exorbitant student loans and litigation costs.

Such unions as this? They would agree... Obama Care doesn't go far enough... they want single payer.

Giving doctors 30 million more patients is not in their interests? I thought the whole point of being a doctor was to make people well.

If you are not a doctor it is really not your concern.

Many doctors are sniffing that revenue stream (our taxpayer $$$) that only a government using sheer force can guarantee them.

Where is the outrage from you liberals who blindly support labor unions, and teacher unions?

Read the links,...they address your "overpaid" contentions.

Why deny doctors a union?

Working conditions have deteriorated, and patient care is suffering. Who speaks for the doctors? Certainly not the government.

Read the second link.

If you read the links you will find that the vast majority of physicians oppose obamacare,....WITH the reasons behind the opposition: "not going far enough" is not among them.
