Why is it so difficult to understand the difference between not defending a law in court and upholding a law?

Anyway: regarding the OP - excellent news. I expected that DOMA wouldn't survive much past the DADT repeal.
Congress didn't repeal DOMA with the D's in control. You expect this Congress to repeal it ?

That married couples tend to have children is not the same thing as calling it a requirement by law. It is not even a suggestion by law. It's totally irrelevant to the marriage argument.

And my argument doesn't ignore the possibility of having children without getting married!!!!!! I posted about it IN THE ORIGINAL FREAKING POST!!!!!!

READ what you argue against before you argue against it!!!!

Watch the Alan Keyes video.
How many people on Earth is enough? 10 billion? 20? 100? What happens when our planet cannot sustain that population? Just keep popping out the kids anyway?

And why can't I post a link from NOM? What if it's the same story??? Like it is?

You KNOW about this story or you wouldn't have said that I "can't" post from NOM. So, once again. Proof given. Will YOU admit defeat too?
Would you be using the same argument if this person was angry that the state allowed interracial marriage? This person was hired to do a job according to the law, and if they don't do it, they don't deserve to stay employed. They can be whatever kind of huge bigot they want to be in the unemployment line. These are called consequences.

Science caved to that political pressure and now its coming full circle and you aren't even allowed to study homosexuality unless you tow the party line. The entire pro-gay side is a huge circular argument. Once the truth is revealed (and it will in time) your whole house of cards will come crashing down. But when gay marriage is legal, it will be very hard to put the genie back in the bottle. We should not experiment on society.

Your responses are all fallacious and based on hatred of anything that goes against your preconceived notions. You refuse to educate yourself.
I feel that you are a condescending, uneducated hate-monger who throws out the victim card whenever their blatant ignorance on an issue is criticized. Too bad. Don't like the reaction, either don't post or change what you're saying.

It's been challenged in Court.......where according to most constitutional scholars it will be declared unconstitutional........the White House will NOT spend tax dollars defending D.O.M.A. any longer.

Boehner and company want to spend $1,500,000.00 of our tax dollars trying to defend the undefensible.

I take it you never read the link in my opening post. .

It's a lobby issue.

But if the Gays want to mock God and marry. let them. it's their own souls that will bear the results of such actions. I can only be concerned with my own soul making it to heaven. the rest can burn.

Leviticus 18:22 - "You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman: it is abomination.

^the Bible speaking directly to homosexuals right here.
Why do you mock the Bible?

Also, how can that verse be about homosexuals when women are also homosexual?
How many gay men do you know who lie with a man like they would a women? (Not that that is how it actually translates from the original Hebrew)

Gay men don't substitute men for women - They aren't attracted to women in the first place. Heterosexual men have been known more for that when they rape another man or sexually abuse a boy.

You also don't appear to be at all aware of the cultural and historical context of when that verse was written. It's intellectually dishonest to try to apply it to gay men (and women) in the 21st century.

It's odd that you don't realise that your attitudes towards other who are different to you put your 'soul' at risk.

Yep, bigoted heterosexuals are running around sticking our noses in homosexual's private affairs, like telling them to not indoctrinate our kids in the public elementary schools.
Yes you are right. The people from MassResistance (your link) are about as ignorant and bigoted as they come. The fact that you wouldn't bother to check the facts (or lack of) of their claims, says a lot about you.

Perhaps you might want to look at all the protections that come with marriage.
