He doesn't defend the law. The department of justice is charged with that task. And he commanded them not to defend it, and in so doing he violated the law.
For the ten-thousandth time. No, he did not violate the law. The law is still being enforced.
Why is it so difficult to understand the difference between not defending a law in court and upholding a law?
Anyway: regarding the OP - excellent news. I expected that DOMA wouldn't survive much past the DADT repeal.
Why does the almighty government have to have their meddling hands in everything we do?? why? can anybody answer this? their only job is to make sure our military is strong(from our tax dollars) and settle disputes in court between individuals. and last time I check Gay marriage was not a court issue. It's a lobby issue.
But if the Gays want to mock God and marry. let them. it's their own souls that will bear the results of such actions. I can only be concerned with my own soul making it to heaven. the rest can burn.

It seems the religious right wants special privileges in that they feel compelled to push their religious beliefs into politics and our government....thereby denying the rights of others to practice the religion of their choice and/or no religion at all......clearly this is immoral, condescending/judgemental and most importantly....UNCONSTITUTIONAL!
