I'm only deemed "liberal" on gay marriage but I know "liberals" that are against gay marriage. To me, the point is whether the issue impacts the way you vote. For me, it wouldn't but I am neither gay nor married. Maybe if I was it would be more important to me.

I think the federal government doesn't belong in the marriage business.

You know, this right-left thing is very much an American disease. Most Canadians really seem to be defined by, "Whatever works best right now", people. Right now for we have a right of center progressive conservative government. If and when things get out of balance towards the right, Canadians will vote for the left of center to bring things back into balance.

I think im slightly rihgt of center, but I live in Massachusetts, so that may be sligtly left of center on average
