People who catch the bus in Detroit may be waiting a while Friday morning. About 100 Detroit Department of Transportation bus drivers are at work, but are refusing to drive their buses.

“Our drivers are scared, they’re scared for their lives. This has been an ongoing situation about security. I think yesterday kind of just topped it off, when one of my drivers was beat up by some teenagers down in the middle of Rosa Parks and it took the police almost 30 minutes to get there, in downtown Detroit,” said Gaffney.

Yes Detroit a good place to be a teenager. Whats wrong with bus drivers today anway? Trying to deprive teenagers of 1 of the few pleasures in life. Beating up bus drivers.

Lol!

I don't blame them, when the police start acting expeditiously, then we'll talk.

Time for a firearms training course and carry permits for the drivers.

Let the cops do what they do best...the paperwork after the perps have been dropped.

sounds like a bunch of bs. I think they are overreacting. I want to know how the situation got started. Did the bus driver provoke them? The bus drivers are just trying to get more money by saying bus driving is dangerous. yea sure.

That must be it because violent crimes are mostly non-existent in Detroit.

You think that this is a single isolated incident?

Have you ever ridden on public transit in some *bad* parts of a major metro area?

Wonder why you can't get a cab or pizza delivered in those same areas?
