He is and will continue to be sorely missed.
Yes, an irreplaceable icon. Of late, he really was the only reason to view 60 Minutes. RIP Mr. Rooney.

He was the best part of the show

The man was 92 for crying out loud.

I know personally of many good people who have lived/live wonderful lives in retirement for 20+ years, some are still going strong.

Andy's was a life well lived and one to be celebrated. I remember fondly the America of which he often spoke, but I sure as hell would not want go to back it.

92 is a wonderful age to make it to but still... I am sad to hear of his passing. I have grown up watching him on 60 Minutes and his cantankerous diatribes will be sorely missed. I was afraid when he signed off a few weeks ago that he was nearing the end and sadly I was right. RIP Mr. Rooney and thank you for so many years of journalistic integrity.

I won't be missing him because I haven't watched 60 minutes for over 20 years.

Garrison Keilor is a putz behind that homespun everyman facade. Bill Cosby again focused on people. I don't think anybody could take Andy's place. What a tribute and a legacy for the man.
But I'm sure he's watching whats still going on and has a whole new audience.
Seems Seinfeld would be a good replacement and I am sure he is smart enought to fine tune.

Truth of the matter you wont replicate an Andy Rooney as he was one of a kind.

I am in my mid 40s and this guy was around for as long as i can remember.

Thoughts go out to his family and friends as you lost a great one.

I watched his final segment a few weeks ago. I hadn't caught him in a long time, so I'm glad I saw that.
