I know this was posted yesterday, but it's nice seeing a link that humanizes all of us, so I'll go: Not really looking forward to the holidays, they will be the first holidays without my daughter Kate, who passed away suddenly in March. But, I am extremely grateful for my family and loved ones, who have been there for me in more ways than I can count
Also, it's cold. I am ready for Summer to come back.
I am very sorry for your loss. I have a little one. I can only imagine. Really sorry.
QG yeah...I did...but I figured out how to live without him...and it wasnt that difficult. Now the song just brings back bad memories...hellsbells
Sorry marska, didn't mean to stir up old 'flames'...but, ya gotta admit, it's a beautiful soulful melody...and grabs every 'love' nerve. I cried when I first heard it...cause it did remind me...but now, I just like it...cause it IS a classic.
Looks like Another Frosty November Night ...Tonite! So now, it is a Beautiful Sunny day! Guess I should go drink a bottle of water...which I have to force myself to do. Water just doesn't taste as good as Pepsi...
Here in Dubai, when someone is injured, especially in a car accident, which there are so many of, no one is allowed to go to the aid of the injured - even a doctor, as you must wait for an ambulance to tend to the injured!! If they should die, you can be arrested as you were the last person to "touch" them. Screwy I know, but unfortunately that's the way it is. It is heartbreaking that you can only stand by and "watch" and pray. Some people did take the risk to help an injured person. One person sat with an injured man and held his hand as his life slipped away. He drew comfort in knowing that someone was with him when he passed.
In the meantime you will find Indians and Pakistanis running from out of no where or stopping their vehicles on the road and they surround the sight of an injured person or people taking loads of pictures. For some reason they like the sight of blood.
But I digress.
Back on topic for good posts.
LOL THAT IS TRUE!
Funny how I am an Indian who helped out though. Very unlike my "people" at "home".

The man I spoke of who helped was from Pakistan, he sat with a laborer who was either Indian or Pakistani. Are you familiar with the ways of Dubai/UAE???
