The public message is that the public doesn't know jack crap about economics or politics. American's have demonstrated it time and again, and have been especially egregious in harnessing Barack Obama's Class Warfare Schtick, which is complete nonsense.

As much as I hate to say it, these numbers can't be trusted because most American's can't be trusted to form an educated opinion on either side of the aisle.

Unfortunately, these opinions translates into votes. We all know what uninformed gets us.........his name is Barack Obama.

Trying to get a feel for whom Im chatting with. Its a lot easier to see why one thinks the way they do when you know a little about them.

If I paid zero taxes I would support tax increases on everyone that paid taxes.
If I made $50k, I would probably support increases on anyone who made more then $75k.

If I didnt work at all and collected SSI , I probably wouldbnt give a damn about tax increases but would be looking for SS COLA to be much larger.

This is not apples to apples. I am an individual and not a whole financial class in of myself. The fact is that simply letting the bush tax cuts expire would raise 400 billion in revenue. That would raise taxes on nearly everyone...including myself, which I have no problem with.

Well that is an honest answer and understandable. Please then explain why you care about someone making over a million dollars a year, because it would have absolutely no effect on you.?

I know you didn't ask me - but when someone who makes $500K has their house robbed - do you care? Or do you say, good for them - I'm sure the robber had a need that needed to be met?

Actualy I dont give a damn about people making over 1 million a yr.
Im concerned with people making $150,000- $850,000 as that is my customer base.
I am in a luxury industry. No one needs what I sell. They want it, but they certainly dont need it.
When the gvmt takes away disposable income from my customer base, these people are not going to stop vacationing , dining out, or any of a number of things that make their wives happy. They are going to stop spending money on things their wives and kids dont give a damn about.
And thats me.

On top of that we need to stop feeding the pig. I dont beleive these clowns even see these numbers as real money , but just numbers.
I bet if we were to double tax revenues, they would still spend every penny.
